Orthopaedics

Many orthopaedic problems require more than one medical service. You may require emergency room treatment, medical treatment, surgery, therapy or medical equipment for the home. You can get all the services you need from Aultman. In some cases, you can even choose a location to receive those services that is closest to your home or workplace.
Emergency & Surgical Services
If you have an accident or sudden orthopaedic injury, Aultman's emergency department is here to help. In addition, our immediate care centers located in North Canton and Massillon are also staffed by board-certified physicians who are trained to diagnose and treat common orthopaedic injuries and fractures. When surgery is required, you can rely on the medical expertise and advanced facilities available at Aultman. Our medical staff includes more than 20 board-certified surgeons, many of whom have special skills in total joint replacement, back and spinal conditions, hand injuries, sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.
Total Joint Replacement Program
Pain and stiffness in your knee or hip joints can prevent you from doing even the simplest tasks. Sitting, walking or climbing stairs may become difficult and painful. When conservative methods of treatment fail to improve your condition, you and your physician may decide you need to replace your knee or hip joints. Aultman has a total joint replacement program that combines an array of medical and comfort services to create one of the most trusted and comprehensive total joint programs in the area.
Therapy Services
Therapy is an important part of recovery for many orthopaedic patients. Aultman provides physical therapy to increase your strength and range of motion and occupational therapy to help you learn how to safely perform daily activities to regain the highest level of independence. Therapy services can be provided in the hospital or at one of our facilities. Learn more about Aultman Therapy Services.
