Urology

Aultman Urology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of urogenital conditions, including treating disorders and cancers of the urinary and male reproductive tracts with the most advanced treatments in minimally invasive prostate, kidney, bladder and stone procedures, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

Some of the most common conditions include prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, hematuria and urinary stone disease. The most common treatments at Aultman Urology are robotic prostatectomy, robotic partial nephrectomy, robotic pyeloplasty and vasectomy/vasectomy reversal.

Aultman Urology's team of board certified medical professionals was the first group in Stark County offering robotic cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion for advanced bladder cancer, performed entirely through small keyhole incisions using the Da Vinci XI Surgical System. With the most advanced minimally invasive option for complex bladder surgery, Aultman Urology benefits patients with smaller incisions, less post-operative pain, less bleeding and a quicker recovery. With more than 10 years of experience and specialized training in robotic surgery, Aultman Urology performs these minimally invasive procedures for prostate cancer, kidney cancer, complex ureteral reconstruction and enlarged prostate.

New E.R.A.S. (enhanced recovery after surgery) pathways help Aultman Urology minimize hospital stays and expedite patient recovery after surgery through early ambulation, minimization of postoperative narcotic pain medications, early advancement of diet after surgery, and other advanced procedures.
