Patient Dining

Aultman Hospital is proud to partner with AVI to provide our patients with healthy, fresh meals. Our Patient Service Ambassador will guide you in making your meal selections. We will ensure the foods you select fit in to the diet your doctor has ordered. If a meal selection does not fit into your diet plan, our Patient Service Ambassador will be able to offer you an alternate selection.

If you have questions or concerns about your diet, please call ext. 36459. If you or your family are outside of the hospital, please call (330) 363-6459.

Standard Aultman Menu

Aultman's Patient Menu offers an array of fresh daily features and an Always Available menu for your enjoyment.

Specialized Menus

Aultman Patient Menu - Cardiac

  • A Cardiac diet has been prescribed to you by your physician. This diet is a plan to eat plenty of nutrient-rich foods, while avoiding foods that are high in fat, cholesterol, sodium, and caffeine.

Aultman Patient Menu - Renal

  • A Renal diet, which has been prescribed by your physician, is a plan for kidney health. This diet order helps with avoiding foods that are high in sodium, potassium, and phosphorus.

Aultman Patient Menu - Level 4: Puréed

  • A Puréed diet, which has been prescribed by your physician, includes only foods that are smooth, which are easily swallowed and require no chewing. All foods are well-blended and moist, with no lumps. A Puréed diet may sometimes be paired with thickened liquids, which helps liquids to be easily swallowed, as well.

Aultman Patient Menu - Level 5: Minced and Moist

  • A Minced and Moist diet, which has been prescribed by your physician, includes foods that are minced into small bite-sized pieces and easy to chew. Foods can be eaten with a spoon or fork, and meats are often prepared with a sauce. A Minced and Moist diet may sometimes be paired with thickened liquids, which helps liquids to be easily swallowed, as well.

Aultman Patient Menu - Level 6: Soft and Bite-sized

  • A Soft and Bite-Sized diet, which has been prescribed by your physician, includes foods that are soft, tender and moist. Bite-sized pieces are served to be easily chewed and swallowed. A Soft and Bite-Sized diet may sometimes be paired with thickened liquids, which helps liquids to be easily swallowed, as well.
