Spiritual Care

Aultman_ChaplainsOur Team

Aultman Spiritual Care is available 24 hours a day to spiritually and emotionally support patients and families of all faiths and denominations.

Chaplains Terry Livengood, Kathleen Schen, Joe Kampert and Michael Lemon journey with those in need by routinely visiting patients, answering referrals and responding to traumas and other situations on an as-needed basis. The Spiritual Care team assists with outreach ministries such as funerals and baptisms - and also provides a variety of additional services.

In addition to our Spiritual Care staff, we rely on a dedicated group of volunteer chaplains to provide support for patients and families.

Our Chapels

Aultman Hospital provides two chapels - in the main hospital and the Aultman Heart Center (Bedford building).

Outreach Ministries

  • Weekly nondenominational prayers services, offered in our hospital chapels and the psychiatric unit.
  • Quarterly "Clergy Breakfast" lecture series.
  • Sympathy cards to families of deceased patients.
  • Weekly rosary group, offered at the Aultman Woodlawn facility.
  • Prayer request boxes in the chapels for patients, families and staff members to submit their prayer requests.
  • A new, computerized badge system that creates ID badges for Canton/Massillon-area clergy. To apply, please email Terry Livengood.
  • Help for area pastors in meeting the needs of parishioners.
  • A Clergy Advisory Committee that meets quarterly.
