For Expectant Moms

Congratulations! And thank you for choosing Aultman as your care provider. You are joining over 2,300 families who will also give birth at Aultman Birth Center this year. We are honored to share in this special time with you.

You can be assured that we are equipped to take care of every family’s birth experience with:

  • 40 private and spacious suites.
  • Three centrally located operating rooms, for mothers who deliver by Cesarean section, give birth to multiple babies or experience complications during delivery.
  • A 16-bed nursery, staffed 24 hours a day, where babies are cared for while moms rest.
  • An obstetrics emergency department (OB ED), staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with an in-house physician. Our OB ED is ready to provide timely assessment and triage of moms with medical complications related to pregnancy (20 weeks and above).
  • The Family Education Center, offering educational resources and courses ranging from childbirth to breastfeeding.
  • International board-certified lactation consultants, available to see breastfeeding moms seven days a week.
  • Level IIIB perinatal services, allowing for the care of high-risk moms and babies. In addition, our maternal fetal medicine physicians, neonatologists and anesthesiologists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • A specialized security system to protect you and your baby.

Preregistration
We ask that you preregister once you are in your third trimester. Please call 330-363-6288 or 1-800-837-0440 to do so. It will only take a few minutes and it will save time in the emergency room when you arrive in labor.
