Hand hygiene is the single most important action you can take to prevent infection. Please take a moment to review these best practices from the Infection Control Office, the hand hygiene check list and the Aultman hand hygiene policy.
Aultman Dress Code Policy
Aultman employees and volunteers create an impression of our organization by presenting a positive appearance. This includes professional appearance, body language and facial expressions. Ensure clothing is neat, clean and in good repair and practice good personal hygiene. Be aware that all employees and volunteers represent the Aultman brand at all times, and in all things they do. All employees and volunteers are required to follow the dress code as outlined here.
Aultman Social Media Policy
Employees, volunteers and students are encouraged to follow and engage with Aultman Health Foundation’s social media profiles. However, if you identify your affiliation with Aultman Health Foundation, your social media activities should be consistent with Aultman’s high standards of conduct. When using Aultman’s hosted social media profiles, users must be cognizant of patient privacy, be respectful and refrain from giving any personal medical advice. To view the Aultman Social Media policy, please click here.
Smoking/Tobacco Policy
Aultman is a tobacco-free organization. This initiative demonstrates our ongoing commitment to healthy living. This policy prohibits any tobacco use on all Aultman Health Foundation properties - including parking areas, sidewalks and several privately owned roads and vehicles. The use of cigarettes, cigars, pipes and smokeless tobacco is prohibited on Aultman property.
Firearm Policy
In accordance with Ohio’s Concealed Carry Law, Aultman Health Foundation prohibits any person from carrying a concealed weapon or other deadly weapon on our properties. Law enforcement officers on official business are exempt from this policy.
Flu Visitation Restrictions
Aultman participates in a county-wide initiative to protect patients, visitors and staff during flu season. We follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations that health care workers receive annual flu vaccines or wear masks in patient care areas. When flu activity increases, visitors under age 14 are not permitted in Aultman facilities because early flu and cold symptoms are not always apparent in this age group.
After reading and viewing all the above materials, please click here to take the required Safety Education Post-Test.
If you are under 18 years old and will be participating as an Aultman volunteer, please make sure that you include signed copies of these forms with your completed Safety Education Post-Test.
