Aultman Hospital Offers Camp Hope for Grieving Children

CANTON, Ohio (May 23, 2024) – Aultman Grief Services will hold a one-day camp designed to help comfort grieving children on Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Camp Hope is open to grieving children ages 5 – 11. The day camp will be held at Aultman Compassionate Care Center on the campus of Aultman Woodlawn in Canton.

Camp Hope is a one-day camp that provides each child with the ability to navigate the grieving process. Children tend to process grief through play, and Camp Hope provides a safe place to interact with other children who have experienced the death of a loved one.

The day will include outdoor activities, crafts, art, music, storytelling and a petting zoo. A light breakfast and lunch are also included.

Camp Hope is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, contact Beth Wengerd at 330-479-4835. The deadline to register is May 31.
