CANTON, Ohio (May 4, 2017) – Aultman Health Foundation is working to fill open nursing positions across multiple facilities with the organization’s RN Recruitment Fair on Saturday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Aultman College, located on the Aultman Hospital campus.

Registered nurses of all experience levels are welcome to attend the event, whether they’re new graduates or have years of nursing experience. The fair is not open to licensed practical nurses or current Aultman employees.

“Nursing is a rewarding, challenging profession that requires a special level of care and compassion, and we’re looking for a number of people with that unique skill set to join our team,” said Sandra McKimmie-Burch, talent acquisition coordinator at the hospital. “This is a great opportunity for nurses of all experience levels to network, ask questions, learn about the hospital and possibly even find a new career opportunity the same day.”

Aultman hiring managers from all departments and locations will be on-site during the fair, where they will walk applicants through the entire hiring process and possibly make contingent job offers. Those seeking nursing positions are encouraged to wear interview attire and to bring at least four copies of their resumes.

The Aultman RN Recruitment Fair comes at a critical time for Ohio’s nursing profession. Northeast Ohio Nursing Initiative, a Center for Health Affairs’ collaboration of nursing leaders throughout the region, said Ohio is currently experiencing a shortage of nurses – one that NEONI estimates will grow to a deficit of more than 3,500 nurses in the next four years.
