CANTON, Ohio (March 13, 2024) – The community is invited to join the Women's Board of Aultman Hospital for the 2024 Angel Auction on Saturday, May 4, at the Canton Memorial Civic Center. This year’s theme is "Run for the Roses: A Night of Bourbon, Bids and Bow Ties." The event will be an unforgettable experience of entertainment, dining and competitive bidding in silent and live auctions, all set against the backdrop of Derby-day elegance.

All proceeds from this year's event will continue to support the Women’s Board’s ongoing commitment to surgical suite enhancements at Aultman Hospital. These enhancements include state-of-the-art equipment and services designed to significantly improve patient care and outcomes. The dedication to upgrading these critical facilities underscores the Women’s Board’s commitment to the community and to providing the highest quality care, particularly in surgical services.

Kaleen Lemon and Nancy Barton are serving as co-chairs of the Angel Auction, and say they’re looking forward to bringing their passion and unique ideas to this year’s event. "It's a privilege to lead the Angel Auction, especially with a theme that celebrates the spirit of the Kentucky Derby," Barton shared. "We're excited to create a memorable night that not only entertains but also significantly contributes to the important cause of enhancing the surgical capabilities at Aultman Hospital."

This year, the silent auction will go live online at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 26, offering an array of unique items and experiences for early bidding. The Women's Board aims to build on the success of previous years by leveraging technology and community spirit to reach their fundraising goals.

The Women’s Board was founded in 1969 to render services to Aultman Hospital in the areas of community relations and fundraising.
