The Aultman Foundation Awards 2024 Grant Funds to Local Organizations

CANTON, Ohio (June 12, 2024) – The Aultman Foundation (TAF) is announcing $39,168 in grant funds awarded to four area nonprofit organizations. The grant awards support the TAF’s new strategic grants process, aimed to further move the needle in the areas of mental health and access to care.

Grant funding supports programs reaching the TAF’s primary service region of Stark, Wayne, Holmes, Carroll and Tuscarawas counties. Since 2007, TAF has distributed more than $2.33 million in grants to non-profits in our community.

The following organizations are receiving grants for the specified amounts:

  • Alliance Family Health Center – $15,000 to expand primary care services to the Alliance community, providing increased access to quality and affordable healthcare.
  • Aunt Susie’s Cancer Wellness Center -- $9,000 to provide free transportation services to cancer-related appointments for cancer patients with greater mobility needs.
  • EN-RICH-MENT -- $8,568 to expand programming to offer an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) prevention and trauma-informed expressive arts program to underserved youth.
  • Tuscarawas County YMCA – $6,600 to implement a STEM & experiential learning component to day camp for youth in Tuscarawas County.

About The Aultman Foundation
The Aultman Foundation was established by the Aultman Health Foundation in May 2007 to raise and administer funds to support and promote health education and wellness outreach to improve the health of the community. The mission is achieved through strategic grant funding to area nonprofit organizations and the acceptance of charitable gifts to the foundation and hospitals. Grant dollars are budgeted annually to support the work of nonprofit organizations that lead the community to improved health, while charitable gifts to TAF are directed for use by generous donors to patient-center services that support the continuum of care of individuals, families and the community. Since its inception, TAF has distributed $2.33 million in grants.
