Aultman’s Generations Program Announces March Events
CANTON, Ohio (Feb. 21, 2017) – Aultman’s Generations, the “Healthier, Together” program, is pleased to present the following events this month. Generations offers social activities, wellness classes and educational opportunities specifically designed for community members 50 and older – and membership is FREE. To sign up, please call Generations at 330-363-6262, toll-free at 888-285-7746 – or stop by the Generations office, located off the main lobby of Aultman Hospital, by the Seventh Street entrance.
March 5: Generations Day at Canton Charge Game will be held at 3 p.m. in the Canton Civic Center. Bring your family and join us as we cheer on the Canton Charge! The Charge is the development league team for the world champion Cleveland Cavaliers. Be one of the first 40 members to respond and have the opportunity to stand on the court as the team takes the floor! In addition, one lucky Generations member will be selected as the Charge team captain of the game and will walk the game ball to center court before tipoff! Great mid-court seats, just 20 rows from the floor, are available for $18 per person (does not include parking).
March 15: Ask a Pharmacist: Medication Adherence Strategies will be presented by Pharmacists Brittany Harbert and Rebecca Prewett from 6-7:30 p.m. at North Canton Medical Center. Taking medications appropriately is essential for ensuring the best treatment outcomes. We will discuss how to manage the most common reasons patients have for not taking their medications. This event is free.
March 22: Red, Hot and Blue will be held at the Croatian Lodge Ballroom in Eastlake starting at 10:30 a.m. Direct from Branson, MO, this award-winning musical revue through the decades is a wonderful trip down memory lane. You will be amazed at their quick-moving choreography and precise vocal harmonies as they sing everything “LIVE” during this nostalgic musical journey. From the Raucous Ragtime Era to the Roaring 20’s, from the Classic Jazz Era of the 1930’s to the Swingin’ Sounds of the 40’s and into the Big Band Era from the Hilarious 50’s, the Rockin’ 60’s and Disco 70’s. Don’t miss this show! The ticket price includes transportation from St. Michael’s Church, lunch and the show. The cost is $80 per person.
March 29: Alzheimer’s: Know the 10 Signs will be presented at North Canton Medical Center from 6-7 p.m. If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, it’s time to learn the facts. Alzheimer’s Educator Samantha Sathre will walk attendees through information on detection, causes and risk factors, stages of the disease, treatment and much more. This event is free.
Call Aultman Generations at 330-363-6262 to make a reservation. While we do not anticipate a change in the schedule of these special events, Aultman reserves the right to cancel any activity due to low ticket sales. All activities are nonrefundable, unless the reservation is cancelled 35 days prior to the event date.
