Clinical Trials
A clinical trial is a research study that compares a new drug or treatment approach with the best known available therapy or standard of care. There are many groups, companies, and organizations that sponsor clinical trials. Aultman works with the National Institutes of Health (NIH); commercial pharmaceutical and device companies; and other universities and nonprofit organizations to help bring new promising treatments to our community.
Clinical trials are important because they produce the data and knowledge that is used for health care decision making. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will not make a new drug or treatment available to all people until they have been thoroughly tested through a clinical trial to prove they are safe and effective.
To learn more about clinical trials and to see the list of currently enrolling trials, please click through the buttons below. If you have questions, or to inquire, about a specific trial Aultman has to offer, please fill out our contact form here. You can also visit www.clinicaltrial.gov or www.researchmatch.org. These sites provide patients, family members and the public with easy and free access to information on clinical studies for a wide range of diseases and conditions.

"The clinical trials of today will bring new drugs and treatments that will become the best therapies of the future."
