Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program Services

The secret of getting ahead is getting started.

Services in Our Program

Group Therapy

Group therapy offers opportunities for individuals to hear and exchange different perspectives as well as participate and contribute to an accepting, compassionate environment. The group dynamic allows individuals to express thoughts, feelings and concerns at the level they are comfortable, in a safe and supportive environment. These groups offer effective emotion regulation skills, with a concentration on a solution-focused perspective, to help individuals adapt to life’s stressors.

Individual Therapy

We meet with each person individually throughout their time in the program. When we meet with each patient, this provides an opportunity to increase awareness to connect what they’ve learned in group and then apply this knowledge within their personal lives outside of the program.

Expressive Art Therapy

Expressive art therapy helps individuals uncover thoughts, feelings and emotions, which are often difficult to express in words. Individuals will explore the use of art materials and prompts to express self, increase insight and gain additional knowledge to move them further in their recovery. This particular type of therapy nurtures personal growth to improve creativity, gain clarity and achieve deep healing.

Family and Relationship Therapy

Family involvement can play an important role in the treatment of many individuals who are receiving support in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Family members of the individual may receive education, support and encouragement when discussing their concerns and perspective with the IOP team members. In addition to this being helpful for the family members, this can also provide insight to the individual in the program as well as our team members when guiding a patient through their recovery while they are in the program.

Medication Management

While the individual is in our program, they will continue to meet with the psychiatrist to further explore their symptoms and stressors. This will offer a stronger understanding of the connection between medication and the alleviation of symptoms. Having direct access to the psychiatrist while in the program will provide ongoing support while monitoring the individual’s progress.
