Other Medical Schools – How to Apply

All of our medical student rotations at Aultman Hospital are coordinated through the office of Medical Education.

Submit A Request

If you are interested in setting up an elective rotation, please send your request to student.electives@aultman.com. Please note that Aultman Hospital is only able to accommodate students who attend medical schools with Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation. Once you have confirmed your school’s LCME status, submit a request including the following items:

  • Your USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX Level 1 Status
  • A student profile outlining your professional goals
  • In the event that your primary elective selection is already filled or no longer available, you are advised to list alternative choices, along with the date of availability that you would like to complete the program(s)

Prerequisites

Once confirmed, students must provide the following items before a rotation can begin:

  • Completed application, which will be sent to the student once a rotation has been confirmed
  • Letter of good standing and proof of malpractice insurance from your medical school
  • Completion and documentation of all required immunizations
  • Background check
