At Aultman, the electives available to medical students offer an opportunity to learn from a variety of patients with diverse medical problems. You will work with dedicated faculty members as well as residents. Your experience here at Aultman will provide you with an opportunity for both professional and personal growth. • Diagnostic Radiology
• Family Medicine
• Emergency Medicine Subinternship
• General Internal Medicine Subinternship*
• OB-GYN Elective
• Orthopaedic Surgery Subinternship
• Pathology*

Application Information

We are transitioning to using VSLO for our elective medical student rotations.

U.S. medical school students should submit a VSLO application for Cardiology, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, OB-GYN, Diagnostic Radiology and Orthopaedic Surgery electives/subinternships.

*For all other elective rotations and for all international students, apply by reaching out to student.electives@aultman.com with your request.

Please note that Aultman Hospital is only able to accommodate students who attend medical schools with Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) accreditation.

Application Requirements:

• Your USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX Level 1 scores/status
• CV/Resume
• A student profile outlining your professional goals
• Photograph

In the event that your primary elective selection is already filled or no longer available, you are advised to list alternative choices, along with the date of availability when you would like to complete the program(s).

Prerequisites

Once confirmed, students must provide the following items along with any other rotation-specific documentation before a rotation can begin. These items should be returned via VSLO or student.electives@aultman.com as applicable to the student and rotation.

• Completed application
• Letter of good standing and proof of malpractice insurance from your medical school
• Completion and documentation of all required immunizations
• Background check
