I was born in Iran and later immigrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I completed my Bachelor of Science in microbiology and immunology at Dalhousie University. I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree from Saba University School of Medicine, which provided me with the opportunity to complete my clinical rotations at multiple sites across the United States. These diverse experiences, combined with my background in adapting to new cultures, have deepened my commitment to family medicine and the importance of building trusting, longitudinal relationships with patients to provide comprehensive, compassionate care.

During medical school, I completed my family medicine rotation at Aultman. This experience had a profound impact on my decision to pursue residency at Aultman. I was impressed by the program’s dedication to education, its supportive faculty and the collaborative environment among residents and staff. I believe that Aultman offers an ideal setting to further develop my skills and become a well-rounded, full-spectrum family physician.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and engaging in outdoor activities such as camping and hiking. I also find solace in nature, particularly during walks by the ocean when I return home to Halifax. These experiences help me maintain balance and perspective, qualities I strive to integrate into my medical career.
