I was born in Iran and moved to Vancouver, Canada, with my family when I was in high school. After completing high school, I went to Manchester, England, for my undergrad where I completed my bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. I then moved back to Vancouver, where I worked at a research lab and obtained my master’s in experimental medicine. During my clinical rotations, I came to enjoy family medicine the most, and what stood out to me was the continuity of care. I believe there is nothing more rewarding than developing a long-lasting relationship with patients and having the opportunity to care for them throughout the different stages of their lives. I did not rotate at Aultman; however, during the interview season I was drawn to the program because of the many wonderful things I heard from friends and classmates. Throughout my interview, the supportive, collegial and tight-knit culture of the program greatly resonated with me. I was certain that Aultman was the right fit and would provide the perfect learning environment for me to excel and acquire the skills necessary to provide exceptional patient care. Outside of medicine, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, new restaurants and cafes with my wife and playing soccer and volleyball.
