I was born in Pakistan and moved to Toronto at the age of 11. I completed my undergraduate studies in Toronto, and then went to medical school at Saba University School of Medicine in the Caribbean. When thinking about residency programs, I wanted a program with a challenging full-spectrum curriculum, one that would support my medical interests and goals, and most importantly, a program that felt like a family. Aultman Family Medicine exceeded all these criteria when I was fortunate enough to do a rotation here during my fourth year of medical school. I felt incredibly welcome and was immediately drawn to the kind, open and welcoming culture among the attendings, residents and staff. Now as a resident in this program, I continue to be impressed by the supportive environment, quality of faculty mentorship, lots of educational opportunities and excellent training in all aspects of family medicine. I know this program will shape me into a well-rounded family physician ready to serve any community. I am looking forward to training at Aultman and living in Canton, Ohio, for my residency! Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking, baking, painting, watching crime shows and spending time with my cat.
