Bio:

I was born and raised in Nigeria. My parents believed in hard work, and that mindset shaped me. I attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria where I obtained both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in applied biochemistry. My interest in family medicine began after I moved to Canada in 2010. While working as a medical assistant in a community primary care clinic, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a family doctor.

I witnessed the positive impact he made on his patients and the community. Observing a chronic shortage of primary care providers and inadequate access to healthcare fueled my passion for family medicine and ultimately led to my medical journey to Saba University School of Medicine, where I obtained my medical degree. My passion for family medicine deepened after completing two electives in this field, during which I was able to explore the extensive scope of family practice. I am enthusiastic about the ability to provide holistic, continuous care to a diverse patient population while forming lasting relationships with my patients and their families.

My interest in the Aultman Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program started during my four-week family medicine elective at Aultman Hospital. The program was highly informative; my preceptors were very knowledgeable, kind and approachable. They provided honest and constructive feedback, which significantly contributed to my growth and learning in medicine. I chose the Aultman Hospital Family Medicine Program because I greatly value the camaraderie and exceptional sense of community between the faculty, residents and staff. I aim to contribute to family medicine through research, teaching, mentorship and advocacy.

My clinical interests include community and rural medicine, minor procedures, preventive medicine and caring for the underserved population. Outside of medicine I love praying, attending church activities and being part of community events. I enjoy cooking, dancing and spending time with my family and friends.
