I was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and lived there until I was 11 years old. I moved to Toronto, Ontario, in 2002 and continued my studies there. Prior to medicine, I worked as a registered respiratory therapist (RRT) for three years and then specialized further as an anesthesia assistant (AA) for 18 months. My clinical experience as an RRT and AA have helped me tremendously during my journey to residency, as I was able to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout my clerkship and now in residency.

I chose Aultman Family Medicine knowing that the faculty here is top-notch and loves to teach, and my experience here will prepare me to be an independent physician once I’ve completed my residency. Everyone who comes through this program, whether student or resident, will tell you the same thing: It’s a great program led by great people who are invested in your development and want to see you succeed.

In my spare time, I like to work out, watch sports, hang out with friends and catch up with family. I’m excited to grow throughout my residency, and I look forward to becoming an independent physician once I’ve completed my training.
