I was born and raised in Toronto. Growing up in one of the most multicultural cities in the world really sparked my love of different cultures, languages, food and people. Before medicine, I studied English literature and Italian language at the University of Toronto.

I then went on to work as a flight attendant, which gave me the chance to get the travel bug out of my system – from trekking Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal to having sushi for breakfast at one of Tokyo’s largest fish markets to completing a yoga retreat in Goa.

I graduated from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. Along the way, I had the opportunity to live and train in different places, including New York City and in my favorite city in the world, Rome, Italy, where I completed an elective rotation in infectious disease.

I chose family medicine, and family medicine chose me. I was really drawn to taking care of the whole person, mind and body, and the chance to care for people through every stage of their life. And with a family as important to me as mine is, perhaps family medicine was always meant to be!

I chose Aultman because of how welcoming everyone was and the genuine conversations I had with the faculty, who were so gracious and supportive. As someone moving to a new country and embarking on this new beginning, it felt like the kind of place where I could learn, grow and feel at home.

Outside of medicine, I love traveling, cooking and staying active in just about any way, whether at the gym, doing yoga, playing tennis or hiking. I’m also the proud owner of a puppy, a tiny toy Maltipoo aptly named Casino, since we spent all our money on him, and we’re so very lucky to have him!
