I was born and raised in South Korea, where my interest in medicine began at a young age. After graduating from university in Korea, I attended American University of Antigua College of Medicine and completed clinical rotations in the United States, which allowed me to work with patients from diverse backgrounds and strengthened my adaptability and resilience.

Throughout medical school, I was drawn to family medicine because of its broad scope of practice, emphasis on preventive care and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and their families. I value the continuity of care that allows physicians to care for patients through every stage of life while addressing their medical needs.

I highly value the Aultman Family Medicine Residency Program because of its welcoming and supportive learning environment. During the interview process, I was impressed by the genuine enthusiasm for teaching shown by the faculty. It was clear that Aultman is a place where residents are encouraged to grow both professionally and personally, and I am excited to continue my training at Aultman.

Outside of medicine, I love to swim and enjoy solving sudoku, as well traveling and sports. I also enjoy experiencing different cultures whenever I have the opportunity.
