M4/Subinternships

Thank you for your interest in an obstetrics and gynecology M4/Subinternship medical student elective. The Aultman M4/Subinternship is specifically for a fourth-year medical student for a period of four weeks. The experience includes one week of obstetrics, one week of gynecology, one week of clinic and one week of night float. Subspecialty electives are available, schedule permitting, after successful completion of an obstetrics and gynecology elective at Aultman Hospital.

M4/Subinternship medical students work hours similar to a PGY-1 in accordance with ACGME Clinical and Educational Work Hours for a total of four weeks. Time off may be requested prior to starting the elective. The OB-GYN admissions team first needs to review and approve your application. At this time, limited electives are available to U.S. medical students and students from international medical schools with an affiliation agreement (American University of the Caribbean, Ross, and Saba).

The 2024-2025 electives are full.

Applications for the M4/Subinternship for the 2025-2026 academic year will open at the beginning of March 2025. Available months to serve in the Subinternship are:
