My history is a bit distinctive in that although I have been an ancillary part of the residency for 30 years operating as an outside preceptor, much of my career has been in private practice. Only recently have I been brought into the fold of directorship. I champion resident wellness and relaxation, hosting gatherings in my home- I have a reputation for my culinary skills. I am the physician for the Balint Groups where residents support each other emotionally with the challenges inherent to the profession of caring. I'm an advocate of patient responsibility, collaborative patientcare as well as LGBTQ plus patients' unique medical needs. In addition to my passion for teaching, I enjoy reading, RPG, and my beast of a mastiff, Maddie (who would think she should have been listed first rather than last).
