Vitamin C 4
04/03/2025

Did You Know These Foods Contain Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is vital for good health. It's a powerful antioxidant that boosts your immune system, aids in wound healing and is essential for the production of collagen, a protein in your body that helps maintain the structure of skin, blood vessels, bones and cartilage.

Consuming vitamin C in fruits and vegetables is more beneficial to your health than getting it from supplements, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

In fact, some studies even show that high intake of vitamin C from fruits and vegetables might lower people’s risk of getting many types of cancer, such as lung, breast and colon cancer.

You may already know that citrus fruits such as oranges, grapefruit and mandarins are excellent sources of vitamin C. But there are so many others! Here are some of the fruits and vegetables that can help you get enough vitamin C in your diet:

  • Tomatoes

  • Bell peppers

  • Brussels sprouts

  • Fresh parsley

  • Mustard spinach

  • Kale

  • Baked potatoes

  • Broccoli

  • Cantaloupe

  • Kiwi

  • Papaya

  • Pineapple

  • Strawberries

Incorporating these foods into your diet is a simple and delicious way to boost your immune system and support your overall health.
