Aultman’s Generations Program Announces Upcoming Events
CANTON, Ohio (Dec. 15, 2016) – Aultman’s Generations, the “Healthier, Together” program, is pleased to present the following events during January and February. Generations offers social activities, wellness classes and educational opportunities specifically designed for community members 50 and older – and membership is FREE.
Sign up online at www.aultman.org/generations, or call the Generations Service Center at 330-363-6262 or toll-free at 888-285-7746. You can also stop by the Generations office, located in Aultman Hospital, just off the main lobby by the Seventh Street entrance.
Jan. 4: Success and Significance in the New Year will be presented at North Canton Medical Center from 6-7:30 p.m. In this free session, Michael Gallina will energize your heart and soul in such a way that your New Year will become significant to you and those around you. This ultimately leads to success in ways that you never imagined!
Jan. 5: The Generations Bowling League will kick off with an organizational meeting at 9:30 a.m. at Strike Zone – located at 1222 Whipple Ave. NW in Canton. Take advantage of this short season bowling league which begins Thursday, Jan. 12 and runs through Thursday, April 13. The cost is just $8 per week and includes bowling shoes and three games.
Jan. 18: Fall Prevention will be presented by Sheree Nuske, RN, of the Aultman Trauma Center at North Canton Medical Center from 2-3:30 p.m. During this free presentation, Sheree will inform attendees how to keep themselves, or their loved ones, safe with easy home modifications and strength exercises.
Jan. 21: Acclaimed psychological illusionist Joshua Seth is performing at the Playhouse Square State Theater in Cleveland at 10:30 a.m. The show is highly interactive and entertaining as Seth takes his audience back to the golden age of Vaudeville. This captivating show is one-of-a-kind and must be seen to be believed! The ticket price, $55, includes bus transportation from St. Michael’s Church and snacks.
Feb. 5: Shen Yun 2017 brings to life 5,000 years of Chinese civilization through classical Chinese dance and music in an exhilarating show you will never forget. Join us on a bus trip to the Playhouse Square State Theater in Cleveland at 12:30 p.m. Artists and theatergoers around the world are calling Shen Yun breathtaking and mesmerizing. The ticket price of $120 includes transportation from St. Michael’s Church and snacks on the bus.
Feb. 7: Chocolate: A Healthy Treat will be presented at Aultman Orrville Hospital by Diabetic Educator Bobbie Randall from 6-7 p.m. She will teach attendees about the wonderful world of chocolate, while exploring the health benefits. You will taste a variety of chocolates during this free presentation, which is sure to change the way you eat this treat.
Feb. 17: A Happy Heart Breakfast will be held at North Canton Medical Center at 8:30 a.m. Come and join us for a light breakfast that will make your heart happy. Aultman Health Coach Linda Brunk, RN will teach participants about seven health changes that can lead to a happier and healthier life. The morning will end with some fun HEART bingo. The cost is $5 per person.

While we do not anticipate a change in the schedule of these special events, Aultman reserves the right to cancel any activity due to low ticket sales. All activities are nonrefundable, unless the reservation is canceled 35 days prior to the event date.
