Summer Teen Program for High School Students at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital

ALLIANCE, Ohio (April 1, 2026) — The Aultman Alliance Community Hospital (AACH) summer teen program, a six-week volunteer opportunity for high school students ages 16 to graduation, is now accepting applications. The 2026 program will begin on June 22. While volunteering in this program is not an internship or shadow program, it does give students the unique opportunity to gain non-clinical experience in a hospital setting while helping others.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to again offer this program and are confident each student will gain valuable and useful knowledge as they continue the journey down the path to their future,” said Michele Quinn, AACH director of volunteer services.

Beginning on April 1, students can apply at aultmanalliance.org/about/giving-back. They must be able to commit to a minimum of six hours per week to the program and are assigned to open volunteer positions throughout the hospital, with consideration given to career aspirations. In addition to the online application, students must also complete parental and guidance counselor forms, interview with volunteer services and complete an orientation. The summer program will be limited to 15 teens. Only students of the summer program will be permitted to volunteer at AACH throughout the calendar year.

For more information, contact the AACH volunteer office at 330-596-7821 or michele.quinn@aultman.com.
