2025 Angel Auction to Support Aultman Hospital Surgical Suite Enhancements

CANTON, Ohio (April 7, 2025) – The 2025 Angel Auction, “Angels in Havana: A Cuban Affair,” will be held on Friday, May 9, at the Canton Memorial Civic Center. Presented by The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital, this signature fundraising event will transport guests to a lively and elegant Havana-inspired evening featuring entertainment, gourmet dining and silent and live auctions.

Proceeds from the 2025 Angel Auction will continue to support surgical suite enhancements at Aultman Hospital. The Women’s Board members remain dedicated to funding projects that improve patient care and advance medical services for the community.

“Advancing our surgical services is a key priority, as it directly impacts the quality of care we provide to our patients,” said Steven Kelly, M.D., chief medical officer, Aultman Health System System. “The generous support from the Angel Auction helps us stay at the forefront of medical innovation, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment and outcomes.”

Courtney Halter and Teresa Golden-McClelland are serving as co-chairs of the 2025 Angel Auction.

Halter, a Stark County native, is a nonprofit leader and fundraiser with extensive experience in community engagement. She serves as vice president of development at ArtsinStark. She also has worked at Aultman Health System for 15 years, including as director of the Aultman Women’s Board.

“Chairing the Aultman Angel Auction has come full circle for me,” Halter said. “From growing up at Aultman through my career, volunteering for this major event and now having the honor to chair alongside Teresa — it’s truly remarkable.”

Golden-McClelland is a community volunteer with a lifelong commitment to service. After a 38-year career as a school psychologist in public schools and a decade in private practice, she now focuses on nonprofit and civic organizations. A member of the Aultman Women's Board for six years, she co-chaired the 2022 Angels on the Runway Fashion Show and serves on several boards, including Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce.

As part of the fundraising festivities, the silent auction will open online at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 28, offering an array of exclusive items and experiences. Attendees and supporters will have the opportunity to bid on packages that showcase the generosity of the local community.
