Testimonials

Jim Geis

Being in the rehab unit was scary to start with. But, over time, I made a lot of friends – including doctors. I participate in the THINK stroke support group, and it’s good to remind yourself where you’ve been. I have friendships with all involved. They are long-lasting, sincere and mean a lot to me in my life.

Sid and Nancy Savage

Sid: The Woodlawn Inpatient Rehab staff was very helpful and supportive. I still do the things I was taught and the exercise program that was suggested for me. In the THINK support group, you share and learn from the other members. You learn to live with what you have. You become thankful that you are not worse. The group shares and gives great support to each other. Almost everyone feels better and more optimistic.

Nancy: There is so much mental healing that occurs in the THINK support group in addition to physical healing. Watching patients improve each month, overcoming unbelievable adjustments within their lives, gives hope through the difficult journey. You cannot be untouched; you leave with great hope for our unknown future and the patients.
