Clinical Excellence
Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility is proud to report that our program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF accreditation “signals a service provider's commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community”. Additionally, Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility is certified as a CARF Stroke Specialty Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Adults.
Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility is focused on the clinical development of our interdisciplinary team to ensure our team can deliver expert and clinically proven rehabilitative care. Many of our nurses are certified in Rehabilitation Nursing by the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (CRRN), Gerontological Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (RN-BC) and Wound Care Certified. Also, several of our therapists have specialty certifications in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) or in the LOUD voice/speech treatment technique.
According to a survey conducted in 2023 by Press Ganey, 81.5% of Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation patients would recommend it to their friends or family.
Clinical Outcomes
At Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, we encourage our patients and families to work together with our skilled interdisciplinary care team to develop an individualized plan of clinically necessary and medically appropriate care. Our expert rehabilitation team is driven to get each patient stronger and independent as soon as possible so he or she may return to the community, which may be home, independent or assisted living settings. In 2023, the Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility discharged 75.9% of our patients back to the community (home or assisted living facility). This is increasing each year, with 72.5% of our patients returning to the community in 2022.
Our patients work hard to improve their mobility and ability to complete self-care tasks during their time in the Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. In 2023, their improvement met or exceeded the expected outcomes for these tasks.
Furthermore, in 2023, only 9.3% of patients in the Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation facility were discharged to acute care such as a hospital. This compares to the region benchmark of 9.7%.
