Our specially trained and skilled staff will assist you as you recover from your injury or illness. Our goal is to help you achieve social and physical improvements that will allow you to live within your community. Our focus will be to restore function and improve the overall quality of your life after your illness or injury.

Rehab Physician
Your rehab physician will oversee the care you receive while on our unit. He/she will direct the team as you progress in your recovery and will manage your overall care. You will receive a visit a minimum of three times per week by this physician for assessment and discussion of your care plan.

Rehab Nurse
Our nursing staff is dedicated to helping you recover by providing your medical care and oversight as directed by the rehab physician. The nursing staff will encourage you to use the skills you have learned in therapy throughout your day. Your nurse will also provide you and your caregiver with education and training about your diagnosis and the care you will need. Our nurses are assisted on the unit by nurse aides. Our nurses have earned board certification in rehabilitation through the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Therapist
Your therapy will be provided by licensed therapists and therapy assistants who work under the guidance of the therapist. Our therapists work together to address all of your needs. You may receive any combination of occupational, physical or speech therapy while on our unit.

Respiratory Therapist
Our respiratory therapist will help manage conditions that affect your lungs. They will monitor your oxygen levels and help decrease your supplemental oxygen needs. They will also assist with any respiratory device needs and special medications.

Dietitian
Nutrition intervention is provided to achieve and maintain good nutritional status. The registered dietitian works closely with other members of the rehab therapy team to address the needs of patients who have feeding and swallowing difficulties as well as any other special dietary concerns. Nutrition education is provided, as needed, to patients and caregivers for home going.

Social Worker
A rehab social worker completes a comprehensive assessment to determine your needs for adjusting to your medical condition and/or your emotional/social responses to illness and treatment. The social worker will help connect you with any necessary resources and supports in the community by making appropriate referrals in preparation for discharge.

Neuropsychologist
This service is available to address cognitive or behavioral issues related to the reason you are admitted to the rehab unit. Our neuropsychologist can help with the adjustment and coping strategies patients may need to face temporary or permanent changes in their lives resulting from their illness or injury.

Other Medical Specialists
Other types of medical specialists can be consulted and will work with you on our unit as needed.
