Cardiac rehabilitation (rehab) is designed to help patients with heart disease recover faster and return to full, productive lives. These services include exercise, education and support.

Together with medical and surgical treatments, cardiac rehab can help you feel better and live a healthier life.

Cardiac rehab is an important step in resuming a full and active lifestyle if you have experienced any of the following:

• Heart attack
• Coronary bypass (CABG)
• Valve surgery
• Angioplasty/stents
• Heart disease, such as angina
• Heart failure

Aultman’s cardiac rehab program consists of three phases. Most insurances will cover Phase I and Phase II of our program.

Phase I: Begins during your hospital stay and includes information about cardiac disease and risk factors.

Phase II: Begins after you are discharged from the hospital and lasts 8-12 weeks.

Adult Wellness: We offer continued support and structure to help maintain your healthy habits and physical fitness once you have completed Stage II.

All cardiac rehab enrollment is by physician referral, and your doctor or our cardiac rehab staff can arrange for you to start the program.
