Aultman is a regional leader in cancer care with most of our cancer surgeries performed on-site. Statistics show that few of our patients travel to tertiary centers because we offer a full range of surgical procedures, including robotics where indicated. Our surgeons cover the full range of body system specific operations for cancer patients, including: neurosurgery, head and neck, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, breast, urinary and reproductive, and cardiothoracic. Vascular support surgeries and interventional radiology procedures are also available, all performed by board-certified physicians. Infection rates are low, and recovery is well-supported in the community environment with physical therapy and long-term care available as needed.

Surgeons participate in weekly clinical case conferences for a team management approach on specific cases. Continuing education in specific disease management is provided regularly to keep surgeons in touch with the newest therapies. Nurse navigators work with our surgery offices to expedite scheduling.
