Aultman’s Transportation Outreach began in 1996 to serve Amish individuals and their families with medical transportation to Aultman Hospital and its outlying health facilities. Since transportation is a particular concern for rural areas, elderly and disabled Amish whose access is constrained, this reliable and dependable service makes health care accessible to those who are unable to drive or have limited mobility.

This service is available to Amish patients in Carroll, Coshocton, Holmes, Stark, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties. The van is driven by a full-time, licensed employee. Transportation services may also be scheduled for family members to visit a hospital patient. This service depends on passenger van availability and scheduling needs.

4 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Not available on weekends or holidays.

Reservations
Transportation requests can be scheduled by calling 1-800-362-5760 or 330-452-9911. Requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Transportation Safety
At Aultman, the safety of our patients, families and staff is our top priority. If a patient requires additional assistance, a family member or aide must accompany the patient on the trip. All vehicles are ADA-compliant and provide seat belts, fire extinguishers and other safety equipment. Vehicles are also wheelchair and handicap accessible. Aultman Hospital is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen articles.

All passengers are expected to adhere to the safety requirements. Passengers are expected to be ready for pick up 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time.
