2026 Careers in Healthcare Summer Symposium

Aultman Education Center Amphitheater
The 2026 Careers in Healthcare Summer Symposium is a free learning program designed for current college students, 2026 high school graduates and high school students ages 16 and over. The program has two parts.
2026 Summer Symposium and Career Fair
Attend the June 11 Summer Symposium and Career Fair to learn from Aultman leaders in medicine, nursing, allied health and hospital administration.
Clinical Observation Opportunities
July 7 – July 31, 2026
Participants in the Symposium and Career Fair are encouraged to attend two half-day clinical observation experiences, followed by a post-observation wrap-up session.

Presenters will include Aultman doctors, members of the healthcare team and administrative leaders. The schedule is subject to change.
The summer program is free for all participants, sponsored by the Aultman Department of Medical Education and supported in part by a grant from the Canton Regional Area Health Education Center (Canton Regional AHEC).
How do I register?
Please complete the online registration form by Thursday, June 4.
What is the dress code for the symposium?
We ask that you wear business casual clothing or scrubs.
Where is the symposium held?
You will check in at the Aultman Education Center Amphitheater, located on the second floor of Building C.
Where should I park?
Park in the Aultman Parking Deck. As you leave the parking deck, turn to your left (west) and enter the Aultman Education Center (Building C). Take the stairs or elevator to the second floor, where check-in tables will be located. Once you are checked in, you will be directed to the amphitheater.
I’m under 18. Do I need parent/guardian permission to attend?
Minors must have a parent/guardian signature on each of the required forms.
Will food be provided?
Snacks, lunch and water are provided.
Is there a cost to attend the Summer Symposium and Career Fair?
The summer program is free for all participants, sponsored by the Aultman Department of Medical Education and supported in part by a grant from the Canton Regional Area Health Education Center (Canton Regional AHEC).

You may observe for two half-day sessions in various departments such as:

Attend the June 11 Symposium and Career Fair.

Be at least 16 years of age.

Be available to attend one of the post-observation sessions:
10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, July 16, or
1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 -
Follow the Aultman dress code (scrubs or business casual) and Code of Conduct during your observation.
Am I required to attend a clinical observation?
Participants in the Symposium and Career Fair are highly encouraged to attend two half-day clinical observation experiences, followed by a post-observation wrap-up session.
What are the dates that I can observe?
Observations take place from July 7 through July 31, 2026.
Am I required to attend a post-observation session?
We strongly encourage you to attend. In a small-group setting, you have the opportunity to share your experience and to briefly discuss your takeaways from your observation. This also gives you a chance to debrief and write a thank you note to your preceptors.
