Known as Jay, I was born in Colombia and raised in the greater Toronto area in Canada. I earned my Bachelor of Science in life sciences at McMaster University and pursued a master’s in forensic DNA analysis and blood spatter at the University of Florida. I graduated from Ross University School of Medicine and completed a transitional year and a surgical year at University of Central Florida / HCA Florida Hospitals in Gainesville and Ocala, Florida. I am an enthusiast of all things, motorsports, music and film production, emerging technologies and applied physics. Outside of the reading room, I can be spotted in blackout sunglasses at hip foodie spots or at state parks near the water enjoying time with family and friends.
