I was born in Logan, Utah, but I grew up in the Huntsville, Alabama, area. I went to the University of Utah for my Bachelor of Science in medical laboratory science. I worked in clinical and research labs for a few years and then went to Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in the Detroit area for medical school. I did my transitional intern year at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I like hiking, sports and the outdoors.
