I grew up in Seattle, Washington, and studied biomedical engineering at Washington State University. I went to medical school at Saba University School of Medicine, during which I met my wife in New York and got married. I completed my internship in general surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. We have a 6-year-old Cardigan corgi who loves to play with other dogs. I enjoy golfing, skiing, scuba diving, cooking, woodworking and video games.
