Bio:

Aultman Emergency Medicine was my top pick for residency for a multitude of reasons. This program prioritizes education to make us well-rounded Emergency Medicine physicians. Our faculty do an amazing job of both supporting us well and pushing us to be the best versions of ourselves. Being a Level II Trauma Center affords us the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of trauma assessment and have a multitude of hands-on experiences.
The area is affordable, with plenty of great restaurants, activities and a great local airport. Our geographic location makes us a unique place to train. Sitting just outside of the city and alongside the highway, we see a large patient population in addition to trauma cases. On the opposing side of the hospital, there are large rural and Amish communities. This allows us to act as a transfer center for smaller community hospitals, giving us the ability to see and treat unique conditions such as pertussis, tetanus and farm-related accidents.
