How to Apply
Most of the residency programs in Aultman Hospital and the Canton Medical Education Foundation (CMEF) select all residents through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). For application deadlines, please see the links below or contact the individual program.
Applications are processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), except for the OB-GYN residency program, which uses ResidencyCAS. Paper applications are not accepted.
The residency programs of Aultman Hospital and CMEF have certain requirements for international medical school graduates to be considered for an interview. Refer to the individual programs.
A complete application includes the following:
- Completed application

- Transcript from medical school
- Curriculum vitae
- Dean’s letter
- USMLE or COMLEX board scores
- Three letters of recommendation

International Medical Graduates (IMG) may apply through ERAS via the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). IMG applications must also include:
- Valid ECFMG Certificate
- ECFMG scores and reports
For all residency programs except OB-GYN, please visit https://www.aamc.org/students/medstudents/eras/ to get started.
Individuals interested in the OB-GYN residency program should visit https://help.liaisonedu.com/ResidencyCAS_Applicant_Help_Center to begin their application.
Please note that due to the overwhelming number of applicants, we may be unable to respond to each and every applicant as we would like. Thank you for your understanding.
