At Aultman, it takes a team to lead our community to improved health. Today, we'd like to introduce you to one of our dedicated volunteers – Kyle Monnot.

Where do you live (city/area)?

I live in North Canton, and I am a 2015 graduate of GlenOak High School. I’m currently a senior at the University of Akron, where I am double majoring in biology and Spanish. My goal is to become a physician assistant.

When did you begin volunteering at Aultman Health Foundation?

I began volunteering this past summer.

In what department do you volunteer?

I volunteer on Wednesdays in the Inpatient Pharmacy. I help with administrative work such as filing, organizing and data entry.

How did you decide to be a volunteer?

Since I want to become a physician assistant, it made sense for me to get some exposure to the hospital environment. Plus, I enjoy working, and it gives me a place to do that.

What do you like best about volunteering?

Volunteering in the Inpatient Pharmacy allows me to see how the hospital runs behind the scenes. I also volunteer at another hospital in the emergency department, so between the two, I experience all sides of the spectrum.

What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of volunteering?

In the summer, I enjoy being outside – either golfing or swimming. I’m also a golf caddy at Congress Lake.

I have an older brother and I recently got engaged!

I can wrap my legs behind my head. I’d show you a picture, but it’s kind of disturbing!
