Where do you live?

I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, graduated from Minerva High School and currently live just outside of Alliance in Beloit.

What would you like to tell us about your education?

I graduated from Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry and preaching, and also in Biblical studies.

When did you become a chaplain at Aultman Health System?

I first began working here in 2020.

At what facility do you work? What is your role?

I work at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital as hospital chaplain, and I also assist with hospice.

How did you decide to become a chaplain?

After college, I worked as a pastor and associate pastor and also spent time working in energy consulting and e-commerce. I had the opportunity to work with Aultman Alliance Community Hospital on a casual, part-time basis helping and filling in for the chaplains in hospice and the hospital. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and was glad to continue working in an expanded role.

What do you like best about your career?

It is a great privilege to provide comfort and support to people at sacred moments in their life journey. I also love the privilege of listening, learning and being inspired from other people’s stories, attitudes and knowledge.

What are some of your hobbies/interests?

I enjoy the outdoors, especially fishing. I also love the racquet sports of table tennis and pickleball.
