Rainbow Fruit Salad

Recipe: Rainbow Fruit Salad

To celebrate International Picnic Day, here is a delicious heart-healthy fruit salad for your next get-together. With its delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavors, this summer salad is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

INGREDIENTS

For salad:

  • 1 large mango, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
  • 2 cups seedless grapes
  • 2 nectarines, peeled and sliced
  • 1 kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced

For honey orange sauce:

  • ⅓ cup unsweetened orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1½ tablespoons honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • Dash nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Mix the fruit together in a large bowl.

  2. In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the honey orange sauce and mix well.

  3. Just before serving, pour the honey orange sauce over the fruit.

Makes 12 servings.
