Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts 3
12/13/2024

Recipe: Air-Fryer Brussels Sprouts

Mix Brussels sprouts with onions and salty bacon and air fry them for a super-crispy, delicious holiday side dish. If you’d like to make this recipe vegetarian, leave out the bacon.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 slices center-cut bacon

  • 2 ½ pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise

  • 1 large red onion, roughly chopped

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

  • ¾ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place bacon in a single layer in the basket of an air fryer. Air fry at 400 F until the bacon is crisp, about 14 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate.

  2. Toss Brussels sprouts, onion, oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Place about half of the Brussels sprouts mixture in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air-fry at 375 F until browned and crispy, 14 to 16 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Transfer to a serving platter. Repeat with the remaining Brussels sprouts mixture. Drizzle with lemon juice; sprinkle with thyme. Crumble the cooked bacon over the top.

Makes 8 servings.
