Julia is originally from Seoul, South Korea, and Suwanee, Georgia. She obtained her bachelor's degree in biology and sociology at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and completed medical school at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. She enjoys traveling solo, and she likes to stay at hostels that offer community meals to connect with other travelers. She also likes to find live music wherever she visits and always tries to meet the locals. She enjoys yoga, kickboxing, listening to podcasts and completing The New York Times crossword puzzles.
