I ranked Aultman Family Medicine as my first choice for residency after I rotated here as a medical student. I loved the program’s full-spectrum approach to family medicine. This philosophy allowed me to get the complete training I sought. From caring for the underserved at the Health Department Women's Clinic and at the Hartville Migrant Clinic to assisting with inpatient care at the hospital during the height of the COVID pandemic, my time in the program was a trove of amazing experiences. There is a huge emphasis on balanced, evidence-based didactics, as well as ample opportunities for hands-on learning of common procedures. Canton, Ohio, has an extensive list of activities year-round (especially for hikers and sports fans). The education I received and the relationships I formed here will be lasting; the experiences helped to make me the physician I am today. I decided to stay on as faculty with the program to make sure the next group of residents has the same amazing experience. I'm proud to be a part of the Aultman Family Medicine Program and recommend it highly to anyone who is seeking to become a more complete and full-spectrum family physician.
