Skilled Nursing

Throughout the past few weeks, Aultman has been preparing for your return after COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. As the community's healthcare leader, Aultman has taken steps to provide the following safety measures at our Transitional Care Unit:

  • Private rooms to lower the risk of contact with other patients
  • Increased physician coverage
  • Access to PPE to keep our patients and staff safe
  • Full-time Infection Preventionist on-site
  • Access to technology for visits and weekly meetings

The Aultman Transitional Care Unit provides short-term care for patients as they transition through recovery to their optimal level of function. Aultman Woodlawn's homelike atmosphere and peaceful, wooded setting allow patients to focus on their recovery without the feeling of being in a hospital.

Our facility includes:

  • 60 private, skilled nursing rooms - each equipped with a television, wardrobe closet, large bathroom/shower and individual temperature control.
  • Medical care provided under the direction of board-certified primary care physicians, neurologists and physical medicine specialists.
  • A health care team - including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and dietitians - sharing specific goals and working toward the same outcome for patients.
  • Two on-site nursing units with skilled nursing staff available to meet patients' needs.

The Aultman Transitional Care Unit participates in Medicare Compare, which allows consumers to compare information about facilities. The Aultman Transitional Care Unit has received a five-star quality rating. Click here to learn more and to see the quality rankings.
