Aultman offers three Immediate Care Centers staffed by experienced, board-certified physicians to care for minor injuries and illnesses seven days a week. The average turnaround time at Aultman Immediate Care is less than one hour! Plus, you can check immediate care wait times before you leave home by clicking the button below! Please note that all locations are closed on New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Immediate Care or Emergency Department? 

Deciding whether to go to the emergency department or an immediate care center can be a challenging task! The information below can be utilized as a guide to help you make the sometimes difficult decision.

If you, or a family member, are experiencing any of the medical issues listed below, please get to the emergency department at Aultman Hospital as soon as possible. In general, conditions that should be evaluated in an emergency department may include:

  • Stroke or heart attack symptoms.
  • Chest pain.
  • Difficulty breathing.
  • Deep cuts or bleeding that won’t stop.
  • Large bone fractures.
  • Pregnancy-related problems.
  • Knife or gunshot wounds.
  • Coughing or vomiting blood.
  • Severe burns.
  • Loss of consciousness.
  • Seizures.
  • Abdominal pain.

If you need medical attention for non-life threatening problem and your primary care physician is not available, visit an immediate care center. The conditions that can be treated in an immediate care setting may include:

  • Minor injuries.
  • Minor lacerations.
  • Eye redness or irritation.
  • Minor fractures (fingers, toes, etc.).
  • Urinary tract infections.
  • Upper respiratory tract infections.
  • Fever or flu.
  • Sore throat.
  • Skin rashes.
  • Skin infections.
  • Ear infections.
  • Sprains and strains.
