Volunteering

Have you ever considered volunteering your time to help others? Volunteers are an essential part of Aultman's team! Volunteers make a difference in the lives of others, while making friends and learning new skills. Aultman requires a commitment minimum of 100 hours of volunteer service per year.

Volunteer opportunities are available in various departments such as The Shoppes, Season's Cafe, the Pharmacy - or you can serve as a lobby greeter. Aultman has more than 200 departments and over 6,000 employees. Volunteer opportunities are also available at Aultman North, Woodlawn, Carrollton and the Center for Pain Management. The volunteer office staff will work with you to find an area you enjoy. Your cheerful, caring attitude will make a significant impact on our patients, visitors and employees. Process

  • Let's get started here
  • Volunteer Coordinator Lee Kenny will contact you to set up an interview.
  • You will be required to complete health and safety tests and receive a background screening. 
  • Review the safety educationcompliance education and volunteer policies. Don't forget to view our video for more information.
  • After you've read the above materials, then complete this online orientation
  • Submit a signed physician release form prior to your first day of volunteering. 
  • If you're applying to be a Eucharistic Minister, a commission form needs completed and signed by your bishop. Please return this form to the Spiritual Care office.
  • Please note: you must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer. 

If you are a high school or college student and would like to volunteer in the summer of 2017, please check back in April for the requirements and dates for the summer volunteer program. You must be 16 years of age by May 1, 2017 to be eligible. 

Current volunteers: please review the safety requirement, compliance requirement, and volunteer requirement before taking the annual safety test here. Don't forget to view our video for more information.
