NICU grads from 2007 have a ball
September 02, 2010 -- The 2007 graduates of Aultman Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit returned for a fun-filled day at the hospital recently. Nearly 100 guests including 26 NICU grads were welcomed to the annual NICU Reunion by costume characters such as Freddie LeFever (Aultman Immediate Care’s Favorite Patient), Dalmatian Dog and Elephant.

Free balance screenings at Aultman Tusc on Sept. 21
September 01, 2010 -- Aultman Tusc Therapy is hosting an open house to promote “Balance Awareness Week” on Sept. 21, 6-7 p.m.  Come learn more about some common causes of vestibular disorders, tips to help prevent falls at home and to receive a free balance screening. All are welcome to attend.

Aultman Offers Free Health Screenings for Senior Day at Pro Football Hall of Fame
August 31, 2010 -- Adults 55 and over are invited to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday, Sept. 29, for free health screenings and admission to the museum, which will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aultman Health Foundation will offer free general health screenings and provide informational booths on senior care from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free tests include cholesterol screenings*, triglycerides screenings*, blood sugar screenings*, diabetes risk assessments, breast cancer risk assessments, blood pressure screenings, cardiac risk assessments, body fat analysis and much more.

August 20, 2010 -- Aultman Hospital and Progressive Chevrolet have teamed up to offer the community a big incentive to keep voting daily in Aultman’s quest for a $250,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project – the chance to win a black 2011 Chevrolet Camaro valued at $38,900.

Address Your Diabetes at Sept. 9 Aultman Health Fair
August 13, 2010 -- Not properly living with diabetes has serious complications and health risks for 23.6 million Americans of all ages with the disease. Aultman Hospital is holding a free Diabetes Health Fair on Sept. 9, to address and educate about the special needs of the growing chronic disease. From 1-3 p.m., Aultman’s Diabetes Education Department is offering information, presentations and exhibits including new products that can help improve and ease the lives of those suffering from any form of the disease: pre-diabetes, Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes.

Aultman Searches for Volunteer Dogs, Owners for Visitation Program
August 12, 2010 -- Aultman Hospital is searching for well-behaved dogs of all sizes and their dedicated owners to participate in Happy Tails, a dog visitation program that exposes patients, family, visitors and staff to the positive experience of interacting with an animal. Aultman Hospital Volunteer Services will hold an information session on Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. at Aultman Hospital.

August 12, 2010 -- The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital is proud to announce the following executive committee volunteers for its 41st year of operation. President is Lisa Warburton-Gregory of North Canton.

Announcement for Patients of Aultman HealthCare in Your Home
August 06, 2010 -- A password-protected laptop maintained by Aultman HealthCare in Your Home was stolen on June 7, 2010.  A police report was filed at the time of the incident. The information on the laptop computer included some patient names, addresses, dates of birth, telephone numbers, social security numbers, insurance identification numbers and health information related to home health services. No credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers were in this information. 

The Aultman Foundation Seeks Grant Applicants through Sept. 3
August 05, 2010 -- The Aultman Foundation is accepting grant applications Aug. 9-Sept. 3, from 501(c) 3 non-profit organizations with projects focusing on health, education and human services. Special consideration is given to proposed projects and services that focus on the underserved, especially the poor, elderly and children. Proposed projects or services must impact the communities served by Aultman Health Foundation, which includes Stark, Wayne, Holmes, Carroll and Tuscarawas counties.

Vote For Aultman In August: Pepsi Refresh Project
July 30, 2010 -- Aultman Hospital needs the community’s help to win a $250,000 grant from Pepsi’s public grant program called the “Refresh Project” during August. The funds would aid Aultman’s Wellness on Wheels (WOW) program, which provides free health screenings and education throughout the community.

Canton Farmers’ Market Comes to Aultman Hospital on Friday Aug. 6 for One Day Only
July 29, 2010 -- The Canton Farmers' Market for its third straight year will, to accommodate Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival and street closures, move its operations to Aultman Hospital to a new time, day and place for one week only.  On Friday, Aug. 6 the market will be held in the Aultman Physician Office Building parking lot from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

‘Team Type 1’ Cyclists to speak at Aultman Hospital Tuesday
July 28, 2010 -- On Tuesday, Aultman Hospital is hosting a group of cyclists, “Team Type 1,” who have type 1 diabetes and are competing in the 3,051-mile Race Across America – a coast-to-coast ultra bicycle marathon. The cyclists are speaking to Aultman’s diabetes teen support group but the event is open to the community.

Aug. 4 -- Aultman to Raise Awareness of Heart Disease Risk Factors
July 27, 2010 -- Aultman Hospital has partnered with Boston Scientific to bring the national Close the Gap campaign to Canton during the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Ribs Burnoff on Wed., Aug. 4, noon-7 p.m., to raise awareness of heart disease risk factors especially for minorities.

400 Healthier after Aultman ‘Bee Healthy’ Races
July 26, 2010 -- Be active, get involved, “Bee Healthy!” – that was the philosophy of three running/walking races on the Aultman Hospital campus recently. More than 400 participants competed. Lean who the first place finishers, male and female, in each race were.
